Diagnose
A focused X-ray and a temperature test confirm whether the pulp is infected.

Numb & isolate
We make sure you're fully comfortable, then place a small rubber shield to keep the area clean.

Clean the canals
The infected pulp is removed, canals are cleaned and disinfected with quiet rotary tools.

Seal
We seal the inside with a biocompatible filler and place a temporary crown.
- 5
Permanent crown
About 2 weeks later, your custom crown is bonded — the tooth is fully restored.
Cost & insurance
Most PPO insurances cover root canal therapy as a major service (50–80% after deductible). The crown that follows is billed separately. We give you both numbers up front.

01Is a root canal still painful?
No. Modern anesthesia and tools make the procedure feel similar to a large filling. Most patients leave feeling better than they came in.
02How long does it take?
Usually 60–90 minutes for a single root canal. Multi-canal teeth (molars) can take a bit longer.
03Do I need a crown after?
Almost always yes — a treated tooth is more brittle and needs a crown to protect it for the long term.
04What if I wait?
Untreated infections can spread and lead to losing the tooth. The sooner we act, the better the outcome.
